Week 9: Truth=fill yourself with love

Health, Wealth, and Love.  Three things that all mankind desires.  My old blueprint says, nah, just Love.  Health comes when you take care of yourself.  Wealth is optional….like only given if you are a master of a business.  Then I started digging in the only place where there is Truth….the Bible.

Psalm 147:5–Great is our Lord, abundant in Power, His understanding is beyond measure.  (Haanel 9.1)

1 Cor 6:19,20–Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit WITHIN you…Glorify God in your body. (9.2)

Deut 28:1-68–…Faithfully obey the voice of the Lord, careful to do all commandments, Lord will sit you high above the nations…. (9.2)

John 16:13–When Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. (9.6)

John 17:17–Sanctify them in the truth; your word is Truth. (9.6)

Eph 3:20–Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or THINK, according to the power at work WITHIN us.  (9.1)

1 Cor 13:6b–Love rejoices with the Truth.  (9.6)

Prov 23:7–For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. (9.27)

Matt. 9:29–According to your faith, let it be done to you. (9.31)

Oh, this course lines up with the Truth!  I love researching the Word and knowing what I study is found Biblically sound.

I am getting a lot of flack from my kids (teens) as we add more things to read aloud.  They think it is lame and embarrassing.  I keep reminding them of thinking for themselves will get them farther in life than just our schoolwork.  They and I are enjoying the plant/flower visualization sit this week.  Since my daughter just loves flowers, this was easy for her.

The last point of Haanel 9.34 is “Every success has been accomplished by persistent concentration upon the object in view.”  This persistent concentration is our daily practice, not our daily task list.  It is hard, but is so worth it!
