Week 24: Way, Truth, and Life

I have had the following scripture saved as a draft for almost 6 months and it perfectly describes the whole Masterkey learning:

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:15-17Amplified Bible (AMP)

When I am quiet and still, wisdom comes!  Back into God’s word is the best way to find it.  When I feel confused with reading anything else, including Haanel, digging commences.  I love how I can just type “bible” then part of the verse or just a few key words in the search line on the internet and it pulls up a few verses that help me know what God wants me to have as Truth.

Our final week of reading and blogging!  The Sit assignment is fun and easy: ” This week, try to realize that this is truly a wonderful world in which we live, that you are a wonderful being that many are awakening to a knowledge of the Truth…”  So, linking brings me to:  Scroll 4 “I am nature’s greatest miracle.”  Psalm 139:14: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”  Sit:  “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10.  John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”

Isn’t it amazing how we breathe?  How the birds fly?  How the clouds float?  How the dog legs twitch when they dream?  How the trees bend and sway in the wind?  How the pine needles fall to the green grass poking through the brown grass?  How the new baby calves hop, skip, and jump with joy?  This world and God’s creation is truly amazing.

TRUTH

John 14:6–Jesus answered, “I am the way and the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  Truth.

The spirit IN me:

John 14:15 “If you love ME, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and HE will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept HIM, because it neither sees HIM nor knows him. But you know HIM, for he lives with you and will be  in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see ME anymore, but you will see ME. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has MY commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show Myself to them.”

I John 4:4 “Greater is He that is IN me, than he that is in the world.”

Spirituality means many things.  I am SOOOO grateful to know the ONE TRUE GOD that is all things.

Law of Least Effort:  Defenselessness is awesome in that I don’t need to argue about other’s disagreeing with my posts, etc.  “I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view.  I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to anyone of them.”  HOWEVER, “How can I keep from singing…?”  I will praise my GOD and I will give Him glory.  It is He who created it all and me to live out His will.  That point of view I will not give up or not defend.  I will be rigidly attached to HIM always and forever.

Week 23: Finish Strong. Start to begin. And Breathe.

We only have 2 more weeks and webinars left of our 6 month long class!

Enthusiasm is my Ben Franklin makeover word of the week.  It has been one of the easier ones to observe because we have pets.  Our dogs are ever-enthusiatic when they see us ANY time of the day! I have been energetic because of warmer weather and more “moving” time outside, rather than just dull exercises in the house.  Fire in the fireplace today even looks enthusiastic bouncing and dancing as fire does.  We changed the “will” in Scroll 6 so it is more powerful to read with I AM and I DO!

In our Sit time this week, we are to focus on how we, as humans, are a spirit with a body.  I imagined a balloon and a toasted marshmallow.  A thin casing around a spiritual mass.  We have so much more in us that we can imagine.  All we have to do is USE it.  Spending quiet time:  thinking, being in nature that God created for US, still, relaxed, praying, reading.

I Cor 2:15 says, “Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.”

Prov 20:27 says, “The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one’s inmost being.”

We are spiritual.  We are not religious.  God wants us to be a light to others.  Shining, drawing them near to Him, knowing that they are whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy….if they choose to believe it.  When we live it, they are drawn to us.

Job 32:8–But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.

Listen to, rather than read, the words:

Doesn’t it sound like Silence?  God’s breath?  When the wall come tumbling down, all we have to do is breathe.  And look for the good.

Week 22a: Self Control + Self Direction= God Required

Self Control is my Benjamin Franklin character trait this week.  As well as learning how to direct ourselves as we close out our class this month.  Has it REALLY been 6 months!?  Have we really done all of this work?  Have we really completed this transformation?  Have I really BLOGGED this long?  Have I really listened to OLD teachers and learned amazing NEW thoughts?!

OOOOooooo, the linking is happening this week!  Og says in Scroll 6, “Strong is he/she who forces his/her actions to control his/her thoughts.”

As we are self directing, we are choosing what we read on a daily basis.  Emerson is sooooooooooo dry, but I attempted a couple of pages.  Reviewing Haanel chapters is a lot of fun.  I have different colors of pens for different days/times that I highlight.  Then I note on the top of the page what date each color represents.  I find different nuggets each time!

AND it’s in the Blue Print Builder!!  “I devote 10 minutes daily to developing self-confidence.”

“I have developed sufficient self confidence for its attainment.”

We can do what we are able to do, but we HAVE to let God do the rest.  Having confidence in HIM gives us God-Confidence.  “Self” is way over-used.  Yes, we have to have action and do our silent time, but we must TRUST fully in Him who gives us our life, ideas, and dreams.

2 Corinthians 3:4 says, “Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.”

Proverbs 25:28 says, “ A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”

Be confident through Christ.  Be self-controlled, disciplined, and not wavering.  Because “YOU are master of YOUR emotions!” –Mandino

Week 22: Fresh Fruit or Dead Fruit?

If the state of our health is not all that could be desired, let us examine our method of thinking; let us remember that every thought produces an impression on the mind; every impression is a seed which will sink into the subconscious and form a tendency; the tendency will be to attract other similar thoughts and before we know it we shall have a crop which must be harvested.  Haanel 22:2

And then the intro: “In Part Twenty-two you will find that thoughts are spiritual seeds, which, when planted in the subconscious mind, have a tendency to sprout and grow, but unfortunately the fruit is frequently not to our liking. The various forms of inflammation, paralysis, nervousness and diseased conditions generally, are the manifestation of fear, worry, care, anxiety, jealousy, hatred and similar thought.”

Reaping and Sowing is so familiar.  It is really coming around since learning more and immensely more since changing my attitude:  being a server, smiler, and talking the best to myself.

Haanel 22:30 brought up the Creator.  I loved digging deeper in the bible and found TONS of stuff:

Psalm 99

99 The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble!
    He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake!
The Lord is great in Zion;
    he is exalted over all the peoples.
Let them praise your great and awesome name!
    Holy is he!
The King in his might loves justice.[a]
    You have established equity;
you have executed justice
    and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the Lord our God;
    worship at his footstool!
    Holy is he!

Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
    Samuel also was among those who called upon his name.
    They called to the Lord, and he answered them.
In the pillar of the cloud he spoke to them;
    they kept his testimonies
    and the statute that he gave them.

O Lord our God, you answered them;
    you were a forgiving God to them,
    but an avenger of their wrongdoings.
Exalt the Lord our God,
    and worship at his holy mountain;
    for the Lord our God is holy!

Nehemiah 9:6

Thou alone art the Lord

Thou hast made the heavens

The heaven of heavens with all their host,

The earth and all that is on it,

The seas and all that is in them

And the heavenly host bows down before Thee.

When we focus on and speak of the good and great, we get the good and the great!  I don’t even think about what I need to stay away from, get rid of, or eliminate in my speech or life anymore.  When we focus on the UP, it is drawn to us and we get what we sow.

Keep sowing GREAT seeds and you will get GREAT fruit!
